Numerous games are cancelled due to unplayable field conditions in NJ. Be sure to check with the home team before leaving for a match.  In NY and PA, fields are unaffected, so teams should not assume their game is cancelled unless notified!

Teams will be able to access this site through a separate username and password to post field cancellation information for referees.  This will NOT replace the necessary calls to opposing teams and assigners letting them know a game/field is cancelled/closed.  Home teams will still be required to contact the opposing teams and assigners by phone no later than 10 AM on the day of the game, and/or no less than 3 hours before the scheduled game time.   This site is a second reference in addition to the required phone calls and to assist referees who may not receive the phone call before they leave to cover games for the day.  It is another mechanism to assist the referees, assigners and teams overall.

 

Team contacts will receive the username and password by separate emails.  Teams will go into the site, and log in.  Using that username and password, the member will be directed to this site specifically.

 

To add a cancellation, the member will click the green button in the center that says "add new center article."  On the next screen, in Headline, put the date and Field name, town and state.  In the sub headline, list the agegoup, home team versus away team.  Be sure to include the full name of club and team.  Then scroll down the page and click "SAVE."   There is no need to add a main text, unless the club or team knows other MAPS games that would follow at the same field location later in the day.  The site should then show:
